Barbecued Country Style Spareribs Recipe
4 Lb Country-Style Spareribs
1/2 C Firmly Packed Brown Sugar
3 Tbsp Dry Mustard
1 Tsp Salt
1/8 Tsp Pepper
1 Tsp Ground Ginger
1/2 C Tomato Juice
1/2 C Orange Juice
1 Tbsp Onion -- Grated
1/2 Tsp Garlic Powder
1 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
Fresh Pineapple Slices
1. Simmer ribs in water to cover in a large kettle for 30 minutes.
Drain and arrange in a shallow glass baking dish.
2. Combine remaining ingredients except
pineapple and let stand 15 minutes; then pour over the ribs, turning
ribs to coat over all. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 3
hours.
3. Barbecue ribs over hot coals 10 to 15 minutes
per side, brushing with marinade sauce during the whole cooking time.
4. A few minutes before the ribs are done, dip
the pineapple slices in the remaining sauce, place on the grill and
brown; serve with the ribs. Scrumptious....
Serves 4. Serve with corn on the cob, sliced
beefsteak tomatoes and Picnic Potato Salad. Chilled watermelon for
dessert.
Transfer to mixing bowl. Add apples and
buttermilk to mixture. Stir until just bound together. (Mixture will
be gooey--that's okay.) Turn dough on to heavily floured board. With
floured hands, knead 6 to seven times to form soft dough. Divide
mixture in half. Roll halves
into 7" rounds. (At this point, you can put the dough in a plastic bag
in the fridge and baked when ready. I've kept them for up to five
days.) Cut each round into four wedges. Place on baking sheet and bake
for 15-18 minutes, until golden brown. Serve immediately.
